In this Issue

This month we bring you the 28th edition of MED Magazine, the monthly webzine of the Macmillan English Dictionaries resource site.

In the new words column we turn our attention to the language of fashion and describe some of the latest neologisms referring to clothes seen on the catwalks of the various fashion shows round the world.

The feature article gives a fascinating account of the meanings associated with the words right and left in English, and explores the origins of these negative and positive associations. It also looks at a number of other languages to see what connotations right and left have in those.

The study skills page gives practical and useful advice on how to revise for exams and what to look out for during an examination.

A new feature is introduced in this issue. On the games page, students can learn more about frequent words with multiple meanings, and complete a crossword to test their knowledge of some of these common words.

The index page contains a list of the contents of all the back issues. To see the covers of the previous 27 editions, visit this page.

We always appreciate feedback from readers so if you'd like to send us your opinion, fill in and email us this form. You'll find a selection of comments about MED Magazine on this page.

I hope you'll enjoy browsing and reading the articles this month.
