There are many words in English that have a number of different meanings. The feature article in this issue talks about one of these words: right. In the Macmillan English Dictionary (MED) each word that has five or more meanings includes a so-called 'menu' so for example, at the word right (adjective) you'll find this menu:

This menu summarizes the definitions for the different meanings of the word. It helps you to find the meaning you are looking for quickly in a long entry. Notice that there are eight different meanings of the adjective right shown in the menu.
