Welcome

Welcome to the first issue of the MED Magazine, the monthly webzine of the Macmillan English Dictionary resource site! In this magazine we will cover a wide range of topics, all connected to the English language and the teaching of English as a foreign language.

In our regular monthly columns we will keep you up to date on new words making their way into the English lexicon. We will also discuss aspects of Language Interference, one of the most intriguing areas in the study of language learning and teaching. In addition, we would like to offer practical ideas and tips on how to integrate the Macmillan English Dictionary and CD-ROM into your teaching, and introduce you to many attractive features of the dictionary that you can explore and put to use.

We hope you will enjoy browsing the MED Magazine as much as we have enjoyed putting it together for you.
