Macmillan Double-Click Dictionary

You may have noticed a slight change to MED Magazine last month, with the addition of the Macmillan Dictionary search box in the contents panel. As you'll have discovered if you tried it, typing a word into the search box immediately takes you to the relevant page in the Macmillan Online Dictionary. This month, we’ve gone one step further, and directly linked the Magazine to the Dictionary. So from now on, if you want to look up a word on any MED Magazine page featuring the Macmillan Double-Click Dictionary logo, all you need to do is double-click the word.

When you double-click on a word, a new window opens, listing the different ways in which that word can be used. You then select the most appropriate choice from the list – whether you want to better understand the way the word is used in the sentence you've been reading, or to find other uses for it.

If you want to look up words not in MED Magazine, use the search box below, or go straight to the Dictionary.
